My interest in railway modelling started from an early age with a basic Rovex goods set on the dining room table. This progressed to a serious level after a holiday in Devon and a visit to the then Peco HQ. A break in my mid to late teens to get involved with girls meant that I sold everything to buy a record player. In my mid twenties I "found modelling" again and have progressed through OO, EM, S4 and now S. I got interested in NZR modeling after a visit to NZ in 2000, since then it has totally absorbed my modeling interests. I am currently working on a "never to leave home, roundy-roundy" layout based in my "trainshed" It is in S scale with a total run of approximately 68 feet and is DCC controlled. It is a slow project as I keep getting distracted by a new idea for "that section of scenery" At least I can play trains!!
